As of March 1, 2019, Goose Creek VA Clinic has made a few changes due to patient feedback regarding how we process VA lab patients to improve wait times.

VA Lab Staff are calling patients by name back to the draw area by their scheduled appointment time versus calling patients based on when they arrive to the clinic.

Patients will still need to pull a number from the kiosk, but staff will be focusing on seeing patients with lab appointments first. Staff will focus on calling you based on your appointment time. 

If you are outside of your appointment time by more than 30 minutes or you are a Walk-In, with no appointment, we will work you in as soon as we can between scheduled patients.

Goose Creek staff may call you to reschedule your lab appointment to a different time or day since we have changed this process to limit the number of patients scheduled during a certain period.

The VA Lab is open from 7:30 A.M.-1:45 P.M. for appointments due to lab processing requirements and we ask that all walk-ins arrive by 1:00 P.M.

Please ensure you drink plenty of water prior to your lab appointment to make any urine samples or blood draws easier to complete. If you are fasting, please ensure you only have water or black coffee 10-12 hours prior to your appointment.

If you would like an earlier appointment time due to fasting please call the clinic to schedule an earlier appointment, potentially on another day.
