Charleston MOAA Members, here is the background on this e-mail.

Information below is from our SC MOAA Council of Chapters and is also sent to our email lists to ensure everyone gets the word.

Notice to our members who are also members of the VFW.

I received a number of e-mails and post cards from an organization saying that they were the SC VFW.  I checked this request out to see if it was a VFW request or a scammer trying to get back ground info.  The truth is in between.  This is a marketing company trying to raise funds for the SC VFW and make a large profit for itself.

There is NO need to respond to this request.  The VFW has all the data it needs.  If you have any questions, please contact me.

PS:  My back operation was successful and I am back to work.  Great Army Doctors at DOD EAMC.  I have not been approved to drive, but should get the ok in Dec.
