Charleston Chapter Organization & Activities

The Chapter offers Social activity, Military and Community service involvement.  Monthly Chapter  meetings are held at various local restaurants which allows us to introduce newcomers to the chapter.  A part of these events are Interesting presentations from local authors, restaurant critics military, political and law enforcement leaders with subjects of interest to military  members, spouses and guests.

A monthly news letter keeps all members abreast of local, state and national legislative issues that effect active duty and retired military personnel in the area.

The volunteer Chapter Officers and Board of Directors have access to extensive personnel affairs and Officer Placement assistance from local base and National MOAA resources.

Your monthly dues ($10 yearly) help support the chapters extensive community  activity involvement.  The Chapter sponsors an endowed scholarship fund and awards annual scholarships to outstanding local high school JROTC and collage ROTC units.  We anticipate one to four awards totaling $2000.  Details on our scholarships are here.  Remarkable members of these same units are recognized annually for military and academic achievements. 

We invite you see what we are doing and ask you to use your demonstrated leadership ability and management skills to make a  difference in your local community.

The military spouse is an asset we encourage to look us over and see how they can participate and enjoy all of our Chapter's activities.  Joining the Board or any Committee would be welcome spouse participation that can be used to improve our military and community environment.
